Pangulasian Island is El Nido’s luxury island hideaway in Bacuit Bay, El Nido. The resort is set fronting a pristine beach and against a backdrop of tropical forest. Also known as the “Island of the Sun”, Pangulasian has breathtaking views of both the sunrise and sunset. Frolic in the 750-meter stretch of white sand beach and be amazed by the marine sanctuary right at its doorstep. Discover diverse flora and fauna thriving in its forest.

Discerning guests will be treated to luxurious amenities and impeccable and personalized service at Pangulasian Island. The resort offers a total of 42 deluxe accommodations built with contemporary Filipino and cutting edge “green” design. Resort facilities include a boutique, library, restaurant and bar at the Clubhouse, an infinity pool with beach bar, gym, spa, hiking trail with view deck, Scuba Shack and marine sports center. Located just minutes away are vibrant coral reefs and El Nido Resorts’ Beach Clubs.

                                                             

                                                              Accommodations

Pangulasian Island has 42 deluxe accommodations built in contemporary Filipino architecture. There are eight Canopy Villas perched on stilts above the forest, and 24 Beach Villas and six Pool Villas close to the water.

Each villa has a floor area of 65 sqm plus a 15 sqm private balcony, and can accommodate up to three persons. Villa features and amenities include Wi-Fi access, satellite TV, iPod dock, mini-bar, and coffee and tea- making facilities.

                                                                                  Canopy Villas

Canopy Villas are perched 15-18 meters from the ground. The villas are accessible by buggy or by stairs leading to a wooden boardwalk that winds through the forest. You’ll get a healthy workout climbing the stairs, but be rewarded with the most expansive and most magnificent view of the turquoise seas and the enchanting islands of El Nido. The Canopy Villa is the only accommodation type that offers a bath tub.

The Beach Villas provide immediate access to Pangulasian’s pristine beach. These are also conveniently located near the resort center where the infinity pool, beach bar and poolside grill are located.

Each Pool Villa has a 22 sqm private pool connected to the balcony. Enjoy fabulous views of Bacuit Bay from a more secluded, quiet location. Bask in the serenity of the island as you hear the gentle lapping of waves while relaxing in your private pool.

                                                                                    Kalaw Villas
For ultimate privacy, book the Kalaw Villas located in a secluded cove at the West end of Pangulasian Island. This cluster of four private villas, share an 85 sqm lap pool and a 55 sqm Kalaw sala which can be used for private dinners and intimate gatherings.

Getting There...

Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) offers daily flights from Manila to El Nido, Palawan. Travel time is approximately 55-minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft. From Lio airport in El Nido, a 25-minute boat ride follows to take guests to Pangulasian Island.

Flight reservations on ITI may be made through El Nido Resorts. Regular flights depart Manila at 7:00AM, 11:00AM, and 3:00PM daily. Return flights depart El Nido, Palawan at 9:00AM, 1:00PM, and 5:00PM daily.

El Nido is also accessible by land from Puerto Princesa City and from Taytay Town, Palawan. It takes approximately 6-hours to travel by land from Puerto Princesa City to El Nido, while it takes 1 ½ hours by land to travel from Taytay town to El Nido.

Miniloc Island in El Nido, Northern Palawan, is the perfect holiday destination for the young and young at heart in search of a fun and vibrant holiday. The resort is tucked in a beautiful cove with a backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs. Reminiscent of a coastal village, Miniloc Island’s quaint charm is enhanced by its crystal clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life. At its very doorstep, the long dock where guests are welcomed, guests can snorkel alongside 1.5meter jacks and hundreds of sergeant majors, damsel fish, fusiliers, and other multi-colored tropical fish.

Miniloc Island offers 50 accommodations with a rustic and native design. It offers al fresco dining at the Clubhouse restaurant and has a beach bar. Recreational facilities include a massage cabana and a marine sports center. There is a boutique, game area, a Kids Activity Center, and a conference room that can accommodate up to 40 persons theatre-style. Complimentary wi-fi connection is available at the Clubhouse. Miniloc Island is a gateway to popular activity sites. With its convenient location, it is a welcoming and charming hideaway, allowing for numerous recreational activities and friendly interaction between guests and staff.

Miniloc Accommodation

Miniloc Island has a total of 50 rooms that are thatched-roofed and furnished with indigenous Filipino materials. Floors are wooden and walls are covered in woven bamboo slats, locally known as sawali. All rooms have a private verandah which offers excellent views of the sea and surrounding islands.

There are seven Water Cottages built on stilts right beside Miniloc’s dramatic limestone cliffs. Each Water Cottage has a 25sqm floor area and can accommodate a maximum of two persons.

Five Seaview Rooms are also on stilts over the water. Each two-level Seaview Room has a total floor area of 43sqm and fits four.

Thirteen Garden Cottages are surrounded by tropical plants and just a stone’s throw from the beach. Each Garden Cottage has a floor area of 27sqm and can accommodate up to three persons.

Three Cliff Cottages are built on the cliffside offering a panoramic view of the resort and Bacuit Bay. Each Cliff Cottage has a floor area of 43sqm to accommodate up to four persons. A narrow flight of stairs have to be navigated to reach the Cliff Cottages, hence are not suitable for families with young children.

There are 12 Beachside Rooms situated right in front of Miniloc’s white sand beach. Each Beachside Room, built in two-level clusters of four, has a 30sqm floor area to house three persons.

Ten Deluxe Seaview Rooms have been designed to showcase Miniloc Island as an eco-friendly resort. All 10 rooms are wholly powered by solar energy and installed with an efficient lighting system and ceiling fans. Each of the 44sqm Deluxe Seaview Rooms can accommodate two persons and offers a spectacular view of Bacuit Bay.

Activities

Miniloc Island offers unique and enriching experiences amidst the beautiful natural landscape. A wide range of activities, from soft adventure sports to more leisurely pursuits, are arranged according to guest preferences with the help of our guest activity coordinators.

SCUBA Diving and Marine Sports
El Nido has more than 20 diving sites, all easily accessible from Miniloc Island. Miniloc Island is a PADI Resort Center with a complete line of diving equipment and offers a variety of dive courses. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are also available at the resort’s marine sports center.

Discover Nature
Snorkel at the house reef and swim with the resident silver jacks of Miniloc Island . Kayak around Miniloc Island and discover pockets of white sand beach amidst the limestone cliffs and the enchanting Big and Small Lagoons. Take a sunset cruise around Bacuit Bay. Go stargazing. Stellar wonders like the North Star, the Southern Cross, and other heavenly formations in the Milky Way, which may not be seen in the night skies of other countries, can be clearly viewed from El Nido. Learn more about the environment by attending the educational presentations of our Environment Team during our Be Green Cocktail Hour on weekends.

Guided Eco Tours
The 45 islands and islets of El Nido and the surrounding sea present endless opportunities for adventure and nature appreciation. Just minutes away are several natural attractions, including Cathedral Cave, Cudugnon Cave, Snake Island, and the Big and Small Lagoons. Guests can join any of our guided eco-tours to explore these fascinating sites. An eco-checklist is provided to all guests to monitor and record any wildlife seen.

Dining

Miniloc Island serves only sustainable menus. During meals, guests will enjoy salad greens organically grown from our gardens. International cuisine and local dishes are offered at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Guests may also dine at nearby Lagen Island Resort, enjoy island lunch at Dibuluan Beach Club, or have a picnic at Entalula Beach Club, all of which are operated by El Nido Resorts. We also take pride in organizing unique dinners for our guests both within Miniloc Island and around Bacuit Bay.

Resort Policies

Child Policy
Children 6 years old and below sharing room with at least 1 adult stay for free, and shall be extended complimentary kids’ meals, tours and boat transfers. For Apulit and Miniloc Islands – Children 7-11 years old shall be charged Child Supplement of PhP 3,000.00 ++ per child per night, inclusive of 3 full board meals, tours and boat transfers. For Lagen – Children 7-11 years old shall be charged Child Supplement of PhP 1,500.00 ++ per child per night, inclusive of breakfast, use of snorkeling and kayak at resort and boat transfers. For Pangulasian Island – Children 7 – 11 years old shall be charged Child Supplement of PhP 2,000++ per child per night, inclusive of breakfast, use of snorkeling and kayak at resort and boat transfers. Children 12 years old and above shall be charged applicable adult rates. Should a separate room be requested for children below 12 without any adult sharing the room, one child shall be charged the single adult rate. The number of children sharing room shall depend on the maximum capacity per room type. This is applicable to all resorts.

Flight Bookings
The resort shall assist guests with reservations for flights on Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI). However, the resort is independent and shall not be held responsible for ITI’s policies on airfares, schedules, and flight operations.

Boat Transfers
Transfers to the resort shall only be via El Nido Resorts boats. Guests arriving via their own boats are not allowed to enter the property for security reasons. Charges shall be applied to those who are unable to check-in as scheduled, including forfeiture, for failure to comply with this procedure.

Check-in/Check-out Policy
Standard check-in time is 2PM and standard check-out time is 12NN. Late check-out may be requested from the Front Office, subject to availability.

No-show/Shortened Stay
No refund shall be made in the event of no show or shortened stay.

Conservation Fee
All visitors to the El Nido-Taytay protected area, 12 years old and above, are required pay a conservation fee of PhP 200.00 per person per visit. This fee is collected for various conservation projects and may be settled at the resort upon check-out.

Force Majeure
El Nido Resorts shall not be held responsible for failure to deliver services, nor obligated to provide additional services, in case of fortuitous events or any conditions beyond our control, including but not limited to, flight disruptions and acts of God. Unused portion of the package shall not be refunded.
